Confirmed Leeds United Lineup vs Newcastle: Farke Keeps Faith With Winning Formula

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for tonight’s Premier League meeting with Newcastle United at Elland Road, with Daniel Farke sticking with the side’s familiar shape.

The Whites remain unbeaten after three league games and will now look to put last week’s frustrating Carabao Cup defeat at Chelsea behind them. Leeds United were 2-0 ahead in that game before conceding four times in 12 minutes.

James Trafford starts in goal, with James Justin, Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic forming the defensive line.

Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson are positioned on the flanks, while captain Ethan Ampadu partners Ao Tanaka in midfield.

Further forward, Anton Stach starts alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor. Leeds will be hoping that attacking trio can provide enough threat to trouble a Newcastle side arriving with five points from their opening three league matches.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Farke, although Joe Rodon remains unavailable. Ilia Gruev has stepped up his recovery by featuring for the under-21s this week, but he has not made a matchday squad this season and is still not involved tonight.

Leeds United have lost only one of their last 12 league matches and remain unbeaten at Elland Road since March.

After the disappointment at Stamford Bridge, Leeds United now have the chance to respond in front of their home supporters against a Newcastle side who are also yet to lose in the league.
