Leeds United’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season remains intact after Daniel Farke’s side came from behind to draw 1-1 with Brentford at Elland Road.
The visitors impressed during the opening 45 minutes and deserved their advantage at the break. Leeds struggled to find their rhythm, but they produced a much stronger second-half showing and Dominic Calvert-Lewin eventually found the equaliser.
Daniel Farke was pleased with the way his players responded after being second best for much of the first half.

“Definitely a good point for us,” the Leeds boss told the media after the match. “Very difficult, complicated game, like expected.”
Daniel Farke admitted Brentford had been the better team before the interval and praised their performance.
“Brentford are in red-hot form. They were excellent in the first half, they fully deserved also to be in the lead at half time. They were the better side.”
The Leeds manager also pointed to the circumstances his team had to handle. Joe Rodon was forced off, while Daniel Farke changed his formation during the interval in an attempt to regain control.
“We had to substitute a key player like Joe Rodon. And then the second half, I was asking a lot from our players because we changed the base formation at half time, brought new players again in after the substitution of the first half and got control back.”
In the end, Leeds United found their breakthrough and avoided defeat. Daniel Farke was especially pleased with the defensive work that stopped Brentford from adding to their lead.
“I am very happy with our defensive behaviour because you have to go back a long while when Brentford has just scored one goal. All credit goes to my players.”
