Leeds United rejected several approaches for Noah Okafor before the summer transfer window closed, with the Swiss forward reportedly keen to remain at Elland Road.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds were prepared to turn down all interest in the 26-year-old, with one £35million offer still on the table on deadline day. Leeds stance clearly depicted how highly Daniel Farke’s side value the forward.
Noah Okafor joined Leeds from AC Milan last summer and enjoyed a solid first campaign. He has since made 36 appearances under Daniel Farke, scoring eight goals and providing three assists, despite suffering a couple of knocks last term.

Sunderland were among the clubs to show interest. Sky Sports’ Zinny Boswell reported that the Black Cats made an enquiry as they looked to strengthen their attack, but Leeds quickly made it clear they had no intention of letting Okafor leave.
Romano also claims that Okafor himself wants to continue at Elland Road. That decision comes despite Leeds adding Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with an option to buy, potentially providing further competition for attacking places.
Noah Okafor has started two of Leeds’ three matches this season, although Farke has used him centrally rather than on the flank where he impressed last term.
The Swiss international still has three years remaining on his Leeds contract, giving the club further security over his future.
Farke’s previous comments also showed why the forward remains important to his plans.
“We’ve spoken about wanting to bring in some quality signings for our attack, and Noah fits this perfectly,” Farke said.
