Jayden Bogle shines as Leeds United make Newcastle statement

Jayden Bogle produced another eye-catching performance as Leeds United swept aside Newcastle United 4-1 in front of a rocking Elland Road crowd.

The wing-back played a major part in Leeds’ first-half surge, helping the Whites add a second goal when he diverted Dominic Calvert-Lewin‘s header into the net. It capped another energetic display from Bogle, who repeatedly threatened from the right.

Speaking to Premier League Productions after the final whistle, the Leeds defender reflected on the importance of the result.

“Yeah, it’s a massive result for us,” Bogle began. “A tough game, but yeah, happy to pick up the three points.”

Jayden Bogle praises Leeds United’s fast starts

Leeds United have made a habit of beginning matches with real intensity, and Bogle believes that approach was crucial against Newcastle.

“I think it’s something we’ve proved ourselves on, we’ve been starting games well and really giving it a go.”

That energy was matched by the Elland Road supporters, who helped create an atmosphere that Newcastle struggled to handle as Leeds took control.

“Whenever we get the fans rocking it’s a really tough place to come. So yeah, executed well and it was a good result.”

Bogle’s contribution didn’t go unnoticed either, with his display earning him the Player of the Match award.

Despite the emphatic victory, Jayden Bogle isn’t getting carried away with Leeds’ impressive start. He wants the squad to maintain the same focus from one fixture to the next.

“Obviously it’s a massive result for us, but it’s important to still take it game by game and not get too ahead of ourselves, and yeah, just keep working and keep taking it game by game.”
